La instancia -realizada en el Hotel Cumbres de Puerto Varas- gir\u00f3 en torno a la exposici\u00f3n de Trond Williksen, Director Ejecutivo (CEO) del holding, quien difundi\u00f3 los principales resultados de la compa\u00f1\u00eda a nivel mundial, las proyecciones para este 2023 y su rol en la salmonicultura chilena.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, la actividad cont\u00f3 con la presencia de Septima Maguire, directora de Finanzas (CFO) de Benchmark Holdings; Geir Olav Melingen, director comercial de Benchmark Genetics; David Farcas, director de Benchmark Genetics Chile; Pablo Mazo, gerente general de Benchmark Genetics Chile; y Javier Moya, gerente general de Benchmark Animal Health Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Es importante destacar que Benchmark Holdings es una empresa l\u00edder en biotecnolog\u00eda acu\u00edcola, con base\u00a0 en Londres (Reino Unido). Ofrece productos y soluciones en tres \u00e1mbitos: Gen\u00e9tica,\u00a0 Nutrici\u00f3n Avanzada y Salud, con el fin de ayudar a los productores acu\u00edcolas a\u00a0 mejorar su rendimiento, calidad, bienestar animal y sustentabilidad. De esta manera, Benchmark Holding tiene como filiales a Benchmark Genetics, Benchmark Animal\u00a0 Health y Benchmark Advanced Nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, a\u00a0 fines de diciembre de 2022, Benchmark Holding comenz\u00f3 a cotizar en la Bolsa de\u00a0 Valores de Oslo (Noruega), lo que se suma a su participaci\u00f3n en la Bolsa de Londres\u00a0 (Reino Unido). Al cotizar en la Bolsa de Valores de Oslo, Benchmark se uni\u00f3 a la bolsa\u00a0 l\u00edder para la acuicultura y los productos del mar a nivel mundial. El movimiento eleva\u00a0 el perfil de Benchmark en la industria y representa una base s\u00f3lida para la pr\u00f3xima\u00a0 fase de crecimiento.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-48126 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/NutricionBenchmarkHoldings-533x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"385\" \/>En este contexto, durante su presentaci\u00f3n Trond Williksen comenz\u00f3 destacando los hitos de INVE Aquaculture, el negocio de nutrici\u00f3n avanzada de Benchmark con foco en dietas y suplementos para camar\u00f3n y peces.<\/p>\n<p>Posteriormente, en gen\u00e9tica, el CEO resalt\u00f3 la presencia de la compa\u00f1\u00eda en los mercados del cultivo de camar\u00f3n, tilapia y salmonicultura. Respecto a este \u00faltimo, enfatiz\u00f3 que -como compa\u00f1\u00eda l\u00edder en el mercado- Benchmark es protagonista en las principales pa\u00edses dedicados al cultivo de salm\u00f3n, estim\u00e1ndose que en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o se vendieron m\u00e1s de 300 millones de ovas de salm\u00f3n atl\u00e1ntico a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n<p>En tanto, respecto a las razones de su presencia reciente en el mercado chileno, Williksen aclar\u00f3 que est\u00e1n muy conscientes que Chile es el segundo productor mundial de Salm\u00f3n y que, adem\u00e1s, est\u00e1n aqu\u00ed empresas l\u00edderes mundiales de la salmonicultura. Ante ello, Benchmark busca aportar con su liderazgo y alta competencia en gen\u00e9tica, contribuyendo as\u00ed a la sustentabilidad de la industria. De igual manera, subray\u00f3 como pilares clave la producci\u00f3n biosegura y la posibilidad de ofrecer ovas fuera de temporada, lo que asegura la demanda de los clientes chilenos.<\/p>\n<p>Al cierre de la presentaci\u00f3n, Trond Williksen se refiri\u00f3 a los aportes del holding en cuanto a salud animal (<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Benchmark Animal Health), concentrados en el tratamiento del piojo de mar. En esa l\u00ednea, relev\u00f3 los resultados del f\u00e1rmaco <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ectosan\u00ae Vet\u00a0 y el sistema CleanTreat\u00ae, el cual <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">se instala en wellboats y permite la degradaci\u00f3n del f\u00e1rmaco, la materia org\u00e1nica y los piojos de mar,<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"es\"> asegurando que el agua se devuelva al oc\u00e9ano de forma biosegura.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reacciones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?camp=192\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/>Por otro lado, en conversaci\u00f3n con Mundo Acu\u00edcola, Pablo Mazo, Gerente General de Benchmark Genetics Chile, destac\u00f3 el conocimiento y experiencia de Trond Williksen, junto con resumir parte de la agenda <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"es\">que <\/span>tuvo el CEO y el resto de la delegaci\u00f3n del Holdign durante su visita a Chile, recorriendo las instalaciones de la casa gen\u00e9tica en Puerto Varas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abActualmente en Chile solo se pueden importar ovas desde Islandia, que precisamente corresponde a Benchmark Genetics Islandia. En ese sentido, hemos buscamos replicar ese modelo de bioseguridad ac\u00e1 Chile.
