Este programa busca reducir el uso de antibi\u00f3ticos en la industria del salm\u00f3n, para promover la sustentabilidad de la actividad y su entorno, reconociendo a los centros de cultivo de salmones que se comprometen de manera voluntaria a cumplir medidas que van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo establecido en la normativa, optimizando y\/o eliminando el uso de antimicrobianos en los ciclos productivos.<\/p>\n<p>En sus 3 a\u00f1os de vigencia, desde marzo de 2020,\u00a0el PROA ha\u00a0otorgado 121 certificados a un total de 112 centros y 11 empresas de cultivo. Los certificados son entregados a los ciclos productivos, y una vez que finaliza un ciclo y comienza uno nuevo, la empresa debe volver a postular. \u201cEl programa busca generar una vinculaci\u00f3n con agentes sectoriales para fomentar las mejores pr\u00e1cticas entre los profesionales de la salud animal. Adem\u00e1s, busca generar incentivos para prevenir la aparici\u00f3n y posible propagaci\u00f3n de pat\u00f3genos resistentes a los antibi\u00f3ticos, velando por la protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente y, por ende, del mar y de las personas, en el marco de One Health,\u201d coment\u00f3 M\u00f3nica Rojas, Subdirectora de Acuicultura del Servicio Nacional de Pesca y Acuicultura.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, agreg\u00f3 que\u00a0es un modelo de certificaci\u00f3n proactivo y voluntario, y va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las exigencias normativas, siendo un elemento innovador en el sector acu\u00edcola.\u00a0Entre las empresas destacadas se encuentra Blumar S.A., empresa que ha certificado la mayor cantidad de toneladas y ciclos productivos de salm\u00f3n del Atl\u00e1ntico a la fecha.<\/p>\n<p>Desde Farming Blumar, el gerente Pedro Pablo Laporte coment\u00f3 sobre la importancia de ser parte de este programa voluntario, \u201chemos suscrito a la certificaci\u00f3n PROA porque tenemos la convicci\u00f3n de que es una autoexigencia positiva que nos permite a trav\u00e9s del cumplimiento estricto de los\u00a0 monitoreos voluntarios poner a prueba nuestra estrategia sanitaria, lo que ha tenido resultados muy positivos, ya que hemos logrado aumentar en forma significativa la producci\u00f3n de salm\u00f3n del atl\u00e1ntico libre del uso de antimicrobianos en forma consistente. Este tipo de iniciativas, junto a la convicci\u00f3n profunda de todo el equipo de Blumar, permiten ir construyendo una industria a\u00fan m\u00e1s sustentable y proyectarla hacia el futuro, en l\u00ednea con las necesidades de los consumidores\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>De los 121 ciclos certificados por Sernapesca, el 59,5% (72 ciclos) no han utilizado antibi\u00f3ticos, mientras que el 40,5% (49 ciclos) restante ha realizado un uso optimizado. Actualmente, hay 173\u00a0centros en seguimiento para su futura certificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?url_camp=192\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?camp=192\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/strong>Para certificarse, los centros de cultivo que se postulen al PROA sin uso de antimicrobianos deben realizar una serie de muestreos para descartar la presencia de cualquier residuo de antibi\u00f3ticos en los peces de los centros a certificar. El cumplimiento de las medidas es supervisado por funcionarios del Sernapesca, tanto documentalmente como en terreno, inspeccionando los centros de cultivo y realizando muestreos.
