{"id":61279,"date":"2024-03-07T06:09:03","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T09:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/?p=61279"},"modified":"2024-03-08T09:10:09","modified_gmt":"2024-03-08T12:10:09","slug":"investigadores-uach-incar-descubren-nuevo-aditivo-fitogenico-con-actividad-antibacteriana-en-peces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/investigadores-uach-incar-descubren-nuevo-aditivo-fitogenico-con-actividad-antibacteriana-en-peces\/","title":{"rendered":"Descubren nuevo aditivo fitog\u00e9nico con actividad antibacteriana en peces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alloyingenieria.com\/\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-55815 size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Gif-Alloy.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/b><\/span>Un grupo de investigadores de la Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) y del Centro Interdisciplinario para la Investigaci\u00f3n Acu\u00edcola (INCAR), identific\u00f3 un aditivo fitog\u00e9nico (PFA) con propiedades antibacterianas que podr\u00eda ser una alternativa efectiva al uso de antibi\u00f3ticos en el combate contra la piscirickettsiosis, la principal causa de mortalidades infecciosas en peces de cultivo en Chile.<\/p>\n<p>En el estudio, \u201cIn vitro effects of phytogenic feed additive on Piscirickettsia salmonis growth and biofilm formation\u201d publicado en el Journal of Fish Diseases, los expertos describen la acci\u00f3n antimicrobiana de un extracto de la planta Andrographis paniculata sobre el crecimiento planct\u00f3nico y la formaci\u00f3n de biofilm de P. salmonis.<\/p>\n<p>Esta planta es conocida por sus propiedades medicinales y se cultiva ampliamente en el sur de Asia, donde se utiliza para el tratamiento de algunas enfermedades infecciosas, por sus propiedades antibacterianas, antiinflamatorios e inmunomoduladoras, entre otras.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa decisi\u00f3n de estudiar esta planta surge como una necesidad de poder profundizar en el conocimiento del mecanismo de acci\u00f3n antibacteriano de este extracto fitog\u00e9nico en P. salmonis, evaluando su efecto sobre el crecimiento planct\u00f3nico y s\u00e9sil, asociado a la expresi\u00f3n de genes claves en la respuesta a estr\u00e9s, bombas de eflujo y producci\u00f3n de biofilm en bacterias\u201d, precisaron los expertos.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los resultados se observ\u00f3 que a concentraciones de 500 y 400 microgramos por mililitro (\u03bcg\/ml), este producto fitog\u00e9nico ejerce el mayor efecto antibacteriano, inhibiendo completamente el crecimiento planct\u00f3nico y s\u00e9sil de las cepas LF-89 y EM-90, relacionado adem\u00e1s con la acci\u00f3n bactericida de este extracto, provocando la inactivaci\u00f3n y muerte de P. salmonis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?url_camp=26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?url_camp=26 noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/medios\/?camp=26\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/b><\/span>Otro aspecto clave del estudio fue la observaci\u00f3n de que las dosis subinhibitorias del PFA aumentaron los niveles de transcripci\u00f3n de genes relacionados con el estr\u00e9s, producci\u00f3n de biofilm y bombas de eflujo para ambos genotipos de P. salmonis, tanto en condiciones planct\u00f3nicas como s\u00e9siles.<\/p>\n<p>El Investigador Asociado de INCAR y Acad\u00e9mico de la UACh, Dr. Alex Romero, destac\u00f3 que \u201cel uso de alternativas no farmacol\u00f3gicas para enfermedades bacterianas en acuicultura, corresponde a una estrategia de tratamiento cada vez m\u00e1s viable y sustentable en peces, lo que podr\u00eda disminuir de forma significativa el uso de antibi\u00f3ticos en el sistema productivo, con una consecuente disminuci\u00f3n del efecto de los tratamientos antimicrobianos cl\u00e1sicos en el medio acu\u00e1tico\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Con estos resultados, los investigadores concluyeron que el nuevo PFA posee efectivamente un efecto antibacteriano contra P. salmonis in vitro, \u201cdestacando el potencial del PFA como una alternativa para controlar la piscirickettsiosis\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de los resultados obtenidos en el estudio, el equipo proyecta analizar el efecto de este y otros productos de origen fitog\u00e9nico en otras especies bacterianas que causan enfermedades en peces salm\u00f3nidos en agua dulce y salada.
