Valentina Valenzuela-Mu\u00f1oz y Dr. Diego Valenzuela-Miranda buscar\u00e1 comprender los impactos del cambio clim\u00e1tico en el microbioma marino y su contribuci\u00f3n a los procesos cr\u00edticos de los ecosistemas, con el objeto de desarrollar <strong>estrategias sustentables para la gesti\u00f3n del cultivo de bivalvos<\/strong> y aportar a la <strong>diversificaci\u00f3n acu\u00edcola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>En la propuesta de colaboraci\u00f3n internacional desarrollada por INCAR, participan tambi\u00e9n la Dra. Yeny Leal-Acosta como Investigadora Postdoctorante y los estudiantes de posgrado Constanza S\u00e1ez-Vera (Doctorado) y Marcelo Mu\u00f1oz-Troncoso (Mag\u00edster), los que viajar\u00e1n a Normand\u00eda, Francia para desarrolla distintas actividades de investigaci\u00f3n Universit\u00e9 de Caen Basse-Normandie.<\/p>\n<h3>Enfoque Hologen\u00f3mico<\/h3>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n utiliza la teor\u00eda del Holobionte (Lynn Margulies, 1990), entendiendo este concepto como la entidad que englobar\u00eda tanto al animal o planta, como el conjunto de microorganismos que constituyen su microbiota.<\/p>\n<p>Com\u00fanmente este t\u00e9rmino se asocia a Hologenoma, que se define como el conjunto de los genomas de todos los organismos que componen la unidad ecol\u00f3gica u holobionte. Debido a que los organismos marinos interact\u00faan constantemente con las comunidades microbianas del medio ambiente, los investigadores usar\u00e1n el enfoque hologen\u00f3mico para comprender el impacto del cambio clim\u00e1tico en la microbiota marina asociada a las poblaciones de bivalvos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEl enfoque hologen\u00f3mico integra distintos niveles de complejidad biol\u00f3gica y molecular de los organismos frente al ambiente. Entre ellos la microbiota juega un papel clave en la adaptaci\u00f3n de invertebrados marinos al impacto del cambio clim\u00e1tico\u00bb, explic\u00f3 el Subdirector de INCAR, Dr. Cristian Gallardo-Esc\u00e1rate.<\/p>\n<p>Para el proyecto se utilizar\u00e1 como modelos de estudio, los mejillones \u201cMytilus chilensis\u201d (<strong>Mejill\u00f3n chileno<\/strong>) y \u201cMytilus edulis\u201d (<strong>Mejill\u00f3n azul del Atl\u00e1ntico Norte<\/strong>) y las ostras \u201cCrassostrea gigas\u201d (<strong>Ostra japonesa<\/strong>) y \u201cOstrea chilensis\u201d (<strong>Ostra chilena<\/strong>), especies de importancia econ\u00f3mica y considerados claves para el equilibro del ecosistema, por su funci\u00f3n filtradora, el aporte de nutrientes al ambiente y por contribuir a la diversidad bent\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p>Se espera que la investigaci\u00f3n arroje importantes resultados que permitan comparar las comunidades microbianas asociadas a diferentes especies hospedadoras en diferentes condiciones ambientales marinas y determinar c\u00f3mo la microbiota afecta el proceso de asentamiento de larvas en colectores artificiales para estos bivalvos.<\/p>\n<h3>Concurso ECOS-ANID<\/h3>\n<p>ECOS-ANID es una iniciativa que surgi\u00f3 en el 2021 con el objeto de fomentar la cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y los v\u00ednculos entre universidades, centros de investigaci\u00f3n e institutos de investigaci\u00f3n, p\u00fablicos y\/o privados, de Chile y Francia.
