En vez de apoyar esta industria, en muchas formas se observa un retroceso, como lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo en Columbia Brit\u00e1nica\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, asever\u00f3 con firmeza.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prote\u00edna para alimentar al mundo<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Y continu\u00f3: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHe dedicado toda mi vida a esta industria, porque cre\u00eda que era una de las soluciones para la alimentaci\u00f3n mundial, y todav\u00eda creo firmemente en eso. La producci\u00f3n de prote\u00edna para alimentar al mundo es sumamente importante. Los beneficios y oportunidades de trabajo ac\u00e1 en Chile y tambi\u00e9n en otras partes del mundo donde se genera esta industria, son muy dif\u00edciles de contraargumentar\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">asever\u00f3 el Doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El experto agreg\u00f3 que<\/span><b>: <\/b><b>\u201c<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otro de los principales retos que tiene la industria chilena, tengo entendido que son las enfermedades branquiales, deformidades y melanosis. Pero he podido ver que en Chile se ha desarrollado mucha y muy buena investigaci\u00f3n al respecto\u201d. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante el encuentro privado, Ferguson realiz\u00f3 una interesante charla magistral sobre salud branquial, la que permiti\u00f3 espacio para preguntas y la intervenci\u00f3n directa con todos los asistentes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por su parte, Claudia Gatica, gerente de Nutrici\u00f3n y Calidad de Skretting Chile, valor\u00f3 este encuentro, diciendo que, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cpara Skretting siempre ha sido muy importante tener una mirada hol\u00edstica de los problemas de salud. Creemos que la academia, la industria y los proveedores deben tener una visi\u00f3n com\u00fan y enfrentar juntos estos desaf\u00edos. Por eso aprovechamos la visita del Dr. Ferguson \u2014 el padre de la histopatolog\u00eda de peces \u2014 para generar un espacio de conversaci\u00f3n directa con nuestros clientes y con los miembros del Proyecto Pincoy\u201d, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">puntualiz\u00f3 Gatica.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Skretting y el Garden of the Future<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cerrando la jornada, el Doctor Ferguson tambi\u00e9n se refiri\u00f3 al trabajo global que est\u00e1 realizando Skretting, a trav\u00e9s de Nutreco Innovation, con el Garden of the Future. En este centro se ha desarrollado la<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">utilizaci\u00f3n del poder de las plantas y los fito complejos, para la nutrici\u00f3n y salud animal. En este aspecto, el doctor reconoci\u00f3 la importancia de orientar los esfuerzos hacia nuevas l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSol\u00eda ser un esc\u00e9ptico, pero ya no lo soy. Creo que la estimulaci\u00f3n no espec\u00edfica del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico es fundamental, incluso m\u00e1s cr\u00edtica que una respuesta directa. Estos m\u00e9todos nutricionales que apuntan a fortalecer la mucosa de piel, branquias e intestinos son sumamente relevantes.
