{"id":76705,"date":"2025-06-12T17:15:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T21:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/?p=76705"},"modified":"2025-06-16T09:42:14","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T13:42:14","slug":"salmon-chileno-avanza-hacia-nuevo-etiquetado-saludable-en-estados-unidos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/salmon-chileno-avanza-hacia-nuevo-etiquetado-saludable-en-estados-unidos\/","title":{"rendered":"Salm\u00f3n chileno avanza hacia nuevo etiquetado saludable en Estados Unidos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con el objetivo de garantizar el acceso a alimentos saludables e informaci\u00f3n nutricional relevante, las cinco empresas socias del Consejo del Salm\u00f3n -AquaChile, Australis Seafoods, Cermaq, Mowi y Salmones Ays\u00e9n-, participaron este mi\u00e9rcoles 11 de junio en la charla informativa \u201cTrazabilidad y etiquetado saludable\u201d, a cargo de la Administraci\u00f3n de Alimentos y Medicamentos de Estados Unidos (FDA) organismo reconocido internacionalmente por sus estrictos est\u00e1ndares en el rubro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El evento se enmarca en el anuncio realizado a comienzos de este a\u00f1o, del otorgamiento de la etiqueta \u201csaludable\u201d al salm\u00f3n chileno por parte de la FDA, atributo que entrar\u00e1 en vigencia en 2028, permitiendo fortalecer y dar un mayor desarrollo a la industria tanto a nivel local como internacional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gonzalo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, analista reglamentario de la FDA, fue el encargado de abordar las regulaciones vigentes de la FDA sobre alimentos saludables y trazabilidad, enfatizando su relevancia para la industria.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La informaci\u00f3n result\u00f3 de especial inter\u00e9s para las empresas salmonicultoras, ya que actualmente Chile es el segundo productor mundial de salm\u00f3n y Estados Unidos es el principal destino de las exportaciones chilenas de este producto (41% en el a\u00f1o 2024). Seg\u00fan datos de la FDA, el consumo per c\u00e1pita de pescados y mariscos entre los consumidores estadounidenses alcanz\u00f3 en 2022 los 8,94, ubicando al salm\u00f3n en el segundo lugar con 1,46 y un 16,3% del total.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salud p\u00fablica<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez enfatiz\u00f3 durante su presentaci\u00f3n la relevancia de la definici\u00f3n de \u00absaludable\u00bb en el etiquetado de alimentos como el salm\u00f3n para reforzar las recomendaciones diet\u00e9ticas actuales. \u201cEsta modificaci\u00f3n es crucial para abordar problemas de salud p\u00fablica, ya que un gran n\u00famero de estadounidenses padecen enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas relacionadas con la dieta. La FDA tiene la responsabilidad de regular la seguridad y el etiquetado de la mayor\u00eda de los alimentos en el pa\u00eds, lo que incluye garantizar que los consumidores tengan acceso a informaci\u00f3n nutricional precisa\u201d, dijo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El experto indic\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n que la afirmaci\u00f3n de \u00absaludable\u00bb que se incluir\u00e1 en alimentos como el salm\u00f3n, frutas, verduras y huevos, entrar\u00e1 en vigor el 25 de febrero de 2028, permitiendo a los fabricantes adoptar los criterios actualizados desde abril de 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loreto Seguel, presidenta ejecutiva del Consejo del Salm\u00f3n, valor\u00f3 esta medida y los avances en torno a su materializaci\u00f3n. \u201cEl salm\u00f3n es reconocido internacionalmente como la prote\u00edna del futuro gracias a su alto valor nutricional.
