El encuentro reunir\u00e1 a investigadores, empresas y autoridades para profundizar en soluciones tecnol\u00f3gicas y estrategias de monitoreo frente a floraciones algales nocivas, consolidando el v\u00ednculo entre ciencia aplicada e industria acu\u00edcola.<\/p>\n<article class=\"text-token-text-primary w-full focus:outline-none [--shadow-height:45px] has-data-writing-block:pointer-events-none has-data-writing-block:-mt-(--shadow-height) has-data-writing-block:pt-(--shadow-height) [&amp;:has([data-writing-block])&gt;*]:pointer-events-auto [content-visibility:auto] supports-[content-visibility:auto]:[contain-intrinsic-size:auto_100lvh] scroll-mt-[calc(var(--header-height)+min(200px,max(70px,20svh)))]\" dir=\"auto\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-turn-id=\"request-68f6c8a1-3988-832d-aea7-fc9be6b7c858-9\" data-testid=\"conversation-turn-184\" data-scroll-anchor=\"true\" data-turn=\"assistant\">\n<div class=\"text-base my-auto mx-auto pb-10 [--thread-content-margin:--spacing(4)] thread-sm:[--thread-content-margin:--spacing(6)] thread-lg:[--thread-content-margin:--spacing(16)] px-(--thread-content-margin)\">\n<div class=\"[--thread-content-max-width:40rem] thread-lg:[--thread-content-max-width:48rem] mx-auto max-w-(--thread-content-max-width) flex-1 group\/turn-messages focus-visible:outline-hidden relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col agent-turn\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-8 text-message relative flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 text-start break-words whitespace-normal [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-1\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"05d1762c-9f8c-46e4-babe-d8e94654cc88\" data-message-model-slug=\"gpt-5\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[1px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose dark:prose-invert w-full break-words light markdown-new-styling\">\n<h3 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"66\"><strong data-start=\"26\" data-end=\"66\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Tres d\u00e9cadas de observaci\u00f3n continua<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p data-start=\"346\" data-end=\"1029\">El fundador y gerente general de <strong data-start=\"379\" data-end=\"398\">Plancton Andino<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"400\" data-end=\"421\">Alejandro Cl\u00e9ment<\/strong>, prepar\u00f3 para el ICHA 2025 conferencia una s\u00edntesis de <strong>37 a\u00f1os de monitoreo continuo de fitoplancton y floraciones algales nocivas en el sur de Chile<\/strong>, con especial \u00e9nfasis en la evoluci\u00f3n del <strong data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"598\">FAN Index<\/strong>, algoritmo desarrollado por la compa\u00f1\u00eda para cuantificar la magnitud relativa de los eventos. \u201cLo que estoy haciendo ah\u00ed es recopilar toda la informaci\u00f3n que pude, hist\u00f3rica, para plantear la hip\u00f3tesis si el FAN Index, nuestro algoritmo, o los blooms, entendidos en ese concepto, est\u00e1n en aumento o no. Esa es la pregunta. Entonces yo me hice la misma pregunta, si los eventos en el sur de Chile est\u00e1n en aumento o no\u201d, explic\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1679\">El estudio emple\u00f3 <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1124\">an\u00e1lisis de series temporales mediante el test estad\u00edstico Mann-Kendall<\/strong> y <strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1148\">promedios m\u00f3viles<\/strong> para identificar tendencias en intensidad y frecuencia de floraciones, considerando diez a\u00f1os de registros consolidados. \u201cNos encontramos que hay especies que est\u00e1n en aumento desde el punto de vista de su intensidad m\u00e1xima, pero tambi\u00e9n hay otras especies que est\u00e1n en disminuci\u00f3n. Y cuando analizamos el FAN Index, el test estad\u00edstico nos dice que no hay una tendencia ni al alza ni a la baja, est\u00e1 neutral\u201d, precis\u00f3 Cl\u00e9ment, enfatizando la estabilidad observada en la din\u00e1mica general de los eventos durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"2114\">Respecto de los impactos, el investigador destac\u00f3 que la dimensi\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y social de las floraciones suele amplificar la percepci\u00f3n del fen\u00f3meno. \u201cLos mayores impactos son econ\u00f3micos: m\u00e1s cantidad de salmones muertos, el 2021, para qu\u00e9 decir el 2016. Y lo otro es que, bueno, cuando aparece la marea roja, se deja de consumir mariscos y eso afecta al turismo, a los restaurantes y a toda la cadena productiva asociada\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"272\"><strong data-start=\"242\" data-end=\"270\">Modelos y automatizaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"235\" data-end=\"817\">El equipo de Plancton Andino participa en ICHA 2025 con m\u00faltiples presentaciones sobre automatizaci\u00f3n, modelaci\u00f3n predictiva y taxonom\u00eda molecular aplicadas al monitoreo de floraciones algales nocivas. Entre los trabajos destacados se cuenta la validaci\u00f3n del sistema <strong data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"536\">SAMS (Self-driven Algae Monitoring System)<\/strong>, desarrollado junto a Retina-Lab, que automatiza la identificaci\u00f3n y cuantificaci\u00f3n de <em data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"647\">Alexandrium catenella<\/em> mediante an\u00e1lisis por im\u00e1genes en flujo. Actualmente, SAMS opera en 20 sitios acu\u00edcolas de Chile y se encuentra en proceso de expansi\u00f3n hacia M\u00e9xico, Canad\u00e1 y Noruega.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"1295\">Otro de los desarrollos es <strong data-start=\"846\" data-end=\"864\">BloomPredictor<\/strong>, modelo de predicci\u00f3n de floraciones algales basado en aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico (<em data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"962\">machine learning<\/em>) y elaborado en conjunto con Skretting Chile. La herramienta integra variables ecol\u00f3gicas, oceanogr\u00e1ficas y meteorol\u00f3gicas para estimar el riesgo de floraciones a corto plazo (1\u20136 d\u00edas), utilizando regresi\u00f3n cuant\u00edlica para generar alertas probabil\u00edsticas y m\u00e9tricas de desempe\u00f1o orientadas a la toma de decisiones en acuicultura.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1928\">En el \u00e1mbito de la <strong data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1339\">taxonom\u00eda molecular<\/strong>, el equipo presenta el estudio <em data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1466\">Identification of Pseudo-nitzschia species using rRNA (Nanopore technology) in Southern Chile<\/em>, que combina microscop\u00eda tradicional, citometr\u00eda de im\u00e1genes y secuenciaci\u00f3n por nanoporo para caracterizar doce especies del g\u00e9nero <em data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1618\">Pseudo-nitzschia<\/em>, entre ellas <em data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1646\">P. australis<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1666\">P. delicatissima<\/em> y <em data-start=\"1669\" data-end=\"1685\">P. fraudulenta<\/em>. Este trabajo, realizado en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS, Reino Unido), aporta informaci\u00f3n in\u00e9dita sobre la diversidad de diatomeas productoras de toxinas amn\u00e9sicas en el sur de Chile.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2469\">Asimismo, la presentaci\u00f3n <strong data-start=\"1956\" data-end=\"2057\">ADICFito: A platform for public engagement and AI-supported taxonomic awareness in HAB monitoring<\/strong>, a cargo de Stephanie S\u00e1ez, da a conocer una plataforma digital colaborativa que combina inteligencia artificial y participaci\u00f3n ciudadana para la identificaci\u00f3n taxon\u00f3mica de fitoplancton.
