{"id":82829,"date":"2025-11-18T04:25:29","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T08:25:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/?p=82829"},"modified":"2025-11-18T11:53:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T15:53:03","slug":"comparten-claves-para-fortalecer-la-esmoltificacion-y-el-bienestar-del-salmon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/comparten-claves-para-fortalecer-la-esmoltificacion-y-el-bienestar-del-salmon\/","title":{"rendered":"Comparten claves para fortalecer la esmoltificaci\u00f3n y el bienestar del salm\u00f3n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"851\">Durante la jornada inaugural del Transfer Summit 2025, organizado por Salmofood en Puerto Montt, la investigadora noruega Anja Striberny, del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n de Alimentos, Pesca y Acuicultura (NOFIMA), present\u00f3 dos ponencias centradas en los avances cient\u00edficos sobre la esmoltificaci\u00f3n y la adaptaci\u00f3n del salm\u00f3n Atl\u00e1ntico al agua de mar.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1475\">La especialista particip\u00f3 en el bloque matinal dedicado a fisiolog\u00eda, salud y producci\u00f3n, con las exposiciones \u201cSmoltification in theory and practice \u2013 A short history\u201d y \u201cMore than one way to smoltify a salmon\u201d. En conversaci\u00f3n con Mundo Acu\u00edcola, explic\u00f3 que su trabajo busca profundizar en los factores que determinan el \u00e9xito de esta fase del ciclo productivo. \u201cMi investigaci\u00f3n trata sobre la producci\u00f3n de smolt, c\u00f3mo el ambiente afecta la smoltificaci\u00f3n y cu\u00e1les son los buenos protocolos para asegurar que los peces est\u00e9n bien y tambi\u00e9n crezcan bien despu\u00e9s de la transferencia al agua de mar\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1912\">Striberny valor\u00f3 el espacio para compartir su experiencia con la comunidad t\u00e9cnica chilena, y destac\u00f3 el car\u00e1cter cient\u00edfico del encuentro. \u201cMe siento muy honrada de estar aqu\u00ed para hablar sobre mi investigaci\u00f3n, pero tambi\u00e9n para referirme en la primera conferencia al trabajo pionero y mirar hacia atr\u00e1s lo que otros colegas han hecho y c\u00f3mo han impulsado la investigaci\u00f3n en smoltificaci\u00f3n, lo que fue un gran honor\u201d, coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"2698\">Respecto a su segunda presentaci\u00f3n, la investigadora detall\u00f3 que se centr\u00f3 en los efectos de tratamientos dietarios sobre la adaptaci\u00f3n del salm\u00f3n Atl\u00e1ntico a agua de mar. \u201cEn mi segunda presentaci\u00f3n habl\u00e9 sobre el efecto del tratamiento dietario en la adaptaci\u00f3n al agua de mar y c\u00f3mo lo probamos en un experimento que result\u00f3 en la publicaci\u00f3n \u2018More than one way to smoltify a salmon\u2019\u201d, explic\u00f3. Agreg\u00f3 que este trabajo incluy\u00f3 observaciones prolongadas, siguiendo el desempe\u00f1o de los peces incluso despu\u00e9s de su transferencia. \u201cEl crecimiento fue monitoreado hasta que los peces fueron finalmente sacrificados al final del experimento, y tambi\u00e9n observamos la calidad del filete. El desarrollo temprano durante la producci\u00f3n de smolt tiene efectos a largo plazo\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2700\" data-end=\"3197\">Consultada sobre los mensajes principales que busc\u00f3 transmitir a la industria chilena, Striberny enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia del bienestar animal y de mantener un enfoque integral en el desempe\u00f1o productivo. \u201cPara rendir bien en agua de mar, esa es una de las claves. Pero espero que el concepto de desempe\u00f1o no solo se entienda como crecimiento, sino tambi\u00e9n como bienestar de los peces. Es muy importante tener presente que los peces deben estar en buenas condiciones, que prosperen\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3199\" data-end=\"3638\">Tambi\u00e9n hizo referencia al rol de la temperatura como variable ambiental relevante durante el proceso. \u201cLa temperatura es importante para regular el crecimiento del pez.
