Mowi cerr\u00f3 el a\u00f1o 2025 con un nuevo r\u00e9cord hist\u00f3rico en vol\u00famenes de cosecha, consolidando su posici\u00f3n como el mayor productor mundial de salm\u00f3n, aunque con resultados financieros que no replicaron ese desempe\u00f1o productivo. As\u00ed lo reflej\u00f3 la actualizaci\u00f3n de resultados correspondiente al cuarto trimestre del a\u00f1o, en la que la compa\u00f1\u00eda inform\u00f3 un aumento significativo en toneladas cosechadas, junto con una ca\u00edda interanual en su EBIT operativo.<\/p>\n

Durante el cuarto trimestre de 2025, Mowi cosech\u00f3 152.000 toneladas en peso eviscerado (GWT), superando en 13,4 % el volumen registrado en igual per\u00edodo de 2024 y estableciendo un nuevo r\u00e9cord trimestral. El resultado tambi\u00e9n se ubic\u00f3 por sobre la proyecci\u00f3n entregada por la propia compa\u00f1\u00eda en el trimestre anterior, que estimaba 147.000 toneladas para el per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n

El mayor aporte a este volumen provino de Noruega, con 98.000 toneladas, seguido por Chile con 26.500 toneladas y Escocia con 12.500 toneladas. Canad\u00e1, Islandia, Islas Feroe e Irlanda completaron la distribuci\u00f3n regional del trimestre.<\/p>\n

En el balance anual, Mowi alcanz\u00f3 un total de 559.000 toneladas cosechadas en 2025, frente a las 502.000 toneladas registradas en 2024, lo que representa un crecimiento interanual de 11,4 %. Noruega lider\u00f3 nuevamente el ranking con 332.000 toneladas, mientras que Chile se ubic\u00f3 en segundo lugar con 78.000 toneladas, seguido por Escocia con 72.000 toneladas.<\/p>\n

Meta estrat\u00e9gica<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Este desempe\u00f1o productivo acerca a la compa\u00f1\u00eda a su meta estrat\u00e9gica de incrementar los vol\u00famenes de su divisi\u00f3n de cultivo desde 500.000 a 600.000 toneladas en el per\u00edodo 2024-2029. En ese contexto, el director ejecutivo de Mowi, Ivan Vindheim, hab\u00eda se\u00f1alado previamente que este objetivo podr\u00eda alcanzarse antes de lo previsto, tras la adquisici\u00f3n de Nova Sea, concretada en octubre de 2025.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, el fuerte crecimiento en cosechas no se tradujo en un mejor resultado operativo. Seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la compa\u00f1\u00eda, el EBIT operativo del grupo en el cuarto trimestre de 2025 alcanz\u00f3 aproximadamente EUR 213 millones, lo que representa una disminuci\u00f3n de EUR 13 millones, equivalente a una ca\u00edda de 5,7 % respecto del mismo per\u00edodo del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n

Pese a ello, la contracci\u00f3n fue m\u00e1s moderada que la observada en el tercer trimestre de 2025, cuando el EBIT operativo se redujo en torno al 35 %. En paralelo, Mowi report\u00f3 una mejora en sus costos de cultivo, con un costo integrado de EUR 5,36 por kilo en el trimestre, un 5,8 % menor al registrado un a\u00f1o antes.<\/p>\n

Por regiones<\/strong><\/h3>\n

En t\u00e9rminos regionales, el EBIT operativo por kilo mostr\u00f3 marcadas diferencias. Noruega registr\u00f3 aproximadamente EUR 2,00 por kilo, Canad\u00e1 EUR 2,30 y las Islas Feroe EUR 1,65, mientras que Chile se ubic\u00f3 en EUR 0,35 por kilo e Islandia en EUR 0,10. Para Irlanda no se inform\u00f3 el dato correspondiente.<\/p>\n

En el segmento de productos de valor agregado, Mowi Consumer Products report\u00f3 un EBIT operativo de EUR 46 millones en el cuarto trimestre, cifra inferior a los EUR 52,8 millones alcanzados en igual per\u00edodo de 2024. En tanto, la divisi\u00f3n Mowi Feed registr\u00f3 un EBITDA operativo de EUR 20 millones, levemente por debajo del r\u00e9cord del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n

En este \u00e1mbito, la compa\u00f1\u00eda destac\u00f3 el acuerdo estrat\u00e9gico alcanzado con Skretting, que puso fin a la revisi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica de su negocio de alimento. Al anunciar esta alianza, Ivan Vindheim afirm\u00f3 que \u201cla alianza con Skretting es nuestro resultado preferido\u201d, subrayando que Mowi mantendr\u00e1 la propiedad y operaci\u00f3n de sus plantas de alimento en Noruega y Escocia, utilizando en adelante formulaciones desarrolladas por su socio.<\/p>\n
