El art\u00edculo profundiza en un punto ciego t\u00e9cnico: las soluciones dise\u00f1adas para agua dulce o exclusivamente para agua de mar no son efectivas en un cuerpo mixohalino.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa recuperaci\u00f3n de sistemas lacustres complejos, como el Lago Vichuqu\u00e9n, representa uno de los desaf\u00edos ambientales m\u00e1s exigentes de la zona central. En el debate t\u00e9cnico actual, ha surgido un factor determinante que redefine cualquier estrategia de intervenci\u00f3n: la salinidad estratificada.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con los recientes monitoreos de la columna de agua, el lago presenta niveles de salinidad que oscilan entre los 12,4 y los 16 PSU (Unidades Pr\u00e1cticas de Salinidad) en sus estratos m\u00e1s profundos. Para dimensionar este hallazgo, el agua dulce se define por valores inferiores a 0,5 PSU; Vichuqu\u00e9n es hoy un sistema mixohalino cuya salinidad en el fondo alcanza casi la mitad de la concentraci\u00f3n del oc\u00e9ano.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>El colapso de la microbiota nativa<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Este cambio en la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica del agua no es solo un dato num\u00e9rico, sino una barrera biol\u00f3gica cr\u00edtica. Las bacterias degradadoras de agua dulce, responsables de procesar la carga org\u00e1nica de forma natural, sufren un colapso metab\u00f3lico (plasm\u00f3lisis) al ser sometidas a este nivel de fuerza i\u00f3nica. No obstante, bajo los principios de la Econom\u00eda Azul, la restauraci\u00f3n debe aspirar a la eliminaci\u00f3n del pasivo ambiental, no a su fijaci\u00f3n temporal.<\/p>\n<p>En sistemas din\u00e1micos y estratificados, la retenci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica es vulnerable: cualquier interrupci\u00f3n en el suministro de ox\u00edgeno puede liberar de golpe los nutrientes acumulados, gatillando nuevos ciclos de eutrofizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La transici\u00f3n hacia una soluci\u00f3n definitiva reside en la bioaumentaci\u00f3n de precisi\u00f3n. Esto implica la introducci\u00f3n de consorcios microbianos y levaduras espec\u00edficamente seleccionados por su car\u00e1cter halotolerante (resistentes a la sal).<\/p>\n<p>Estos microorganismos no solo sobreviven a los 16 PSU, sino que son capaces de realizar una digesti\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica in situ, transformando el lodo org\u00e1nico en biomasa inerte y gases inocuos, eliminando as\u00ed la matriz que sostiene la crisis sanitaria del lago.<\/p>\n<h3>Conclusi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p>Sanar el Lago Vichuqu\u00e9n requiere un cambio de paradigma. No podemos aplicar soluciones estandarizadas de agua dulce o solo de agua de mar, en un ecosistema mixohalino. La clave del \u00e9xito no reside en la potencia mec\u00e1nica para mover grandes vol\u00famenes de agua, sino en la capacidad de restaurar el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico biol\u00f3gico del lago, utilizando biotecnolog\u00eda adaptada que pueda trabajar en sinton\u00eda con las condiciones actuales de su fondo.
