{"id":88805,"date":"2026-05-13T18:07:42","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T22:07:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/?p=88805"},"modified":"2026-05-13T18:07:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T22:07:42","slug":"remolacheros-y-salmonicultura-cuando-se-cierra-una-puerta-siempre-se-abre-otra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mundoacuicola.cl\/new\/remolacheros-y-salmonicultura-cuando-se-cierra-una-puerta-siempre-se-abre-otra\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00abRemolacheros y salmonicultura: Cuando se cierra una puerta, siempre se abre otra\u2026\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"407\" data-end=\"863\">En esta columna, Daniel Nieto, gerente del Programa Tecnol\u00f3gico para la Producci\u00f3n Local de Insumos Nutricionales Vegetales para la Acuicultura (PTEC-INVA), analiza las implicancias del cierre de la compra de remolacha nacional por parte de Iansa y plantea una pregunta de fondo: si parte de la infraestructura agr\u00edcola hoy disponible podr\u00eda transformarse en una nueva plataforma para abastecer de prote\u00ednas y aceites vegetales a la salmonicultura chilena.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1166\">Para el autor, la decisi\u00f3n de optar por az\u00facar importada proveniente de ca\u00f1a \u201crepresenta mucho m\u00e1s que el cierre de un ciclo agr\u00edcola\u201d y podr\u00eda marcar \u201cel t\u00e9rmino (temporal o permanente, eso se ver\u00e1\u2026) de una de las cadenas agroindustriales m\u00e1s sofisticadas que ha tenido Chile en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1583\">Nieto recuerda que la remolacha no solo movilizaba producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, sino tambi\u00e9n una red territorial de asesor\u00edas, servicios, maquinaria, log\u00edstica y empleo rural, especialmente en las regiones del Maule, \u00d1uble y Biob\u00edo. En ese escenario, advierte que cerca de 7.000 a 7.700 hect\u00e1reas quedan hoy \u201cbuscando una nueva vocaci\u00f3n productiva\u201d, abriendo una interrogante estrat\u00e9gica respecto del futuro de esos suelos.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"2060\">\u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 hacemos ahora con esos suelos, esa experiencia t\u00e9cnica y ese capital humano?\u201d, plantea el autor, enfatizando que no se trata de tierras marginales, sino de predios con riego, mecanizaci\u00f3n, agricultura de precisi\u00f3n y productores habituados a operar bajo contratos estables. \u201cExactamente el tipo de territorio y agricultor\/a que Chile necesitar\u00e1 si quiere avanzar hacia una producci\u00f3n local de prote\u00ednas y aceites vegetales para alimentaci\u00f3n animal y acu\u00edcola\u201d, sostiene.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2062\" data-end=\"2445\">En ese contexto, Nieto vincula esta oportunidad con el trabajo que impulsa el Programa Tecnol\u00f3gico para la Producci\u00f3n Local de Insumos Nutricionales Vegetales para la Acuicultura (PTEC-INVA), iniciativa apoyada por Corfo y liderada por Salmones Ant\u00e1rtica, cuyo foco es precisamente desarrollar materias primas vegetales producidas en Chile para la alimentaci\u00f3n de salmones y truchas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2447\" data-end=\"2820\">El an\u00e1lisis, sin embargo, va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del \u00e1mbito agr\u00edcola. Seg\u00fan plantea, frente a tensiones geopol\u00edticas, problemas log\u00edsticos globales y dependencia de insumos importados, \u201cla discusi\u00f3n ya no es solamente agr\u00edcola. Es geoestrat\u00e9gica\u201d.
